Why Video Blog? And learn how...

Videos for learning can change the dynamic of your classroom and personalize the learning journey. You can use videos as an alternative to traditional teaching & learning. These tools offer students a unique experience and allow them to access content anywhere, anytime. Video blogs allow you to customize and personalize your material, are a flexible e-learning option, and is a more engaging approach compared to accessing another slide deck! Imagine sending a video to your class from the most beautiful beach near you or from an international conference you are attending-- how engaging would this be for your students or employees to view? Sharing yourself and your surroundings engages the learner in a more personal and meaningful way as students interact with videos that are customized and individualized for them!

Ideas for using Video Blogs:

• Introductions, welcome messages, and greetings
• Demonstrations and micro lessons
• Providing grades, critique, and feedback
• Discussion boards and chats
• Student recorded learning narratives
• Offering instructions, tutorials, and lecture series
